Terms & conditions for Bespoke Timber Construction.

As a company (Bespoke Timber Construction) dealing directly with supplied timber we cannot be held responsible for certain aspects or problems caused by timber supplied by outside suppliers.

Our timber used mainly in stables, field shelters and some other buildings is tanalised timber which is pressure treated timber. The timber used is also a natural product and will act accordingly, it moves and shrinks and twists in different conditions as does all timber. The timber used in our buildings is only quality timber, the framing is all grade C24 and the cladding is visually sorted on fitting. With this in mind we cannot be held responsible for the following.

1, Shrinkage 2, Twisting 3, Movement due to conditions 4, Cracking 5, Warping These are a natural occurrence for timber and whilst we take all care to minimise this when building the stable or other buildings, we cannot state this will never happen over the lifetime of the structure. This can happen over time and does not indicate a faulty product.

Doors, windows and other parts of the buildings are supplied and fitted as requested, but, if there are issues with fitting as requested we will propose an alternative. These items are always fitted by us to maintain the strength and longevity of the item and building. If our professional fitting instructions are not followed, it may cause problems at a later date which we cannot be held responsible for.

Roofs, flashings, ridges downpipes and gutters are fitted as requested with suggestions to the correct way and type to be used.

Drawings

If drawings are submitted to planning for any building, the positioning and sizing must be followed unless you have arranged the changes through the proper channels.

Bases & Contractors

A Contractor for the groundwork (base), is organised by the Customer although recommendations can be sought from Bespoke Timber Construction if any are known in your area.

The contract for groundwork will be between the Customer and the Contractor. If a base of any kind is being laid, this is down to the Contractor to complete the work according to the instructions given by the Customer or Bespoke Timber Construction (on advice from the Customer). Any problems concerning any base laid by a Contractor is to be taken up with the Contractor and not Bespoke Timber Construction.

Bricklayer

In some instances, a brick layer may be required for the base to support the timber construction. This will be completed by the Contractor laying the base and is his responsibility.

Planning.

Any build we undertake we assume you have applied for planning application (if it is required).

Entry To Customer Property.

When you agree to having Bespoke Timber Construction build your new building you are allowing us onto your property. While we try to take great care while on site there may be furrows in the ground from vehicle use and transporting and delivering materials to the site area, especially if the ground has been, or is wet. It is your responsibility to ensure access to the site is suitable for any vehicles needing access and that any obstructions are removed.

Health & Safety.

While we welcome our customers to the site area we must stress that your health and safety is at risk from trip, fall, falling objects, moving vehicles and ruts made from vehicles in fields. We must stress that you take extra care on site and remain at a safe distance from the site build and storage area unless accompanied by a member of Bespoke Timber Construction. Bespoke Timber Construction is not liable for your safety and any injury you receive whilst on site.

Quoting and Prices.

On the day of the quotation our prices are correct. If there is a change in materials pricing to us between the quotation date and date of acceptance or starting the job after an extended period then the extra cost will be passed onto the customer.

You will be informed of any price changes before any work starts.

Any extra work that is arranged and added during, before or after the build and added after the original quotation will all be added to the final invoice.
